serial to USB to update predator

I have a laptop without a serial port. just usb. so I bought a serial to USB adapter. but I can't figure out which options and settings to choose in the software so that I can update the predator and get the comptuer to recognize it. if anyone can help that would be great.

you need to install the USB drivers for your PC... then your PC will recognize the cable and when it's hooked up, and you'll be all set. then set the port to com1 with a baud rate of 115,200... make sure the diablo predator and software is also set to a baud rate of 115,200....

where do I download the USB driver? I looked under support-downloads-u7194 and didn't see it.

didn't you get anything with the cable? did you try to use it yet on your PC?

No I did not get anything with the cable. just a cable that had a connection that fit usb port and the other end that fit a serial cable. I will give those drivers a try. Thank you very much. Will post back here if any problems.
