you have a CAI, so use the CAI tune....

if only the rest of us had that choice....no CAI for 2011 300c. it made quite a difference on the previous tunes.

Mike has previously said that the CAI tunes are just the standard tunes with 5% extra fuel at WOT. So, you can do that yourself. That's what I've done on my 2012 SRT8.
Re: octane 91 or octane 91 cai
How do I do that? I have a '11 Charger 5.7 R/T. My Tuner is a Trinity T1000. I can't find a CAI tune. Thanks...mikel wrote:you have a CAI, so use the CAI tune....
Re: octane 91 or octane 91 cai
There are no CAI tunes for the 11+. Just go +5% on fuel in all rpm ranges.

I'd recommend performing some logging to look for knock to see if the extra fuel is even necessary. I'm running a CAI on my 2012 SRT8, and I've found no need for the extra fuel. Car runs like a beast.

Re: octane 91 or octane 91 cai
I went and had my awd 300c dynoed just for the hell of it and with the 91 oct cai tune I was pig rich from 3500 rpm all the way to 6000 rpm. should I try just the 91 oct tune or keep the 91 cai can tune and take fuel away or -/+ timing and how much. I want 12 afr cuz that's where I make peak power. Im just trying to get the most out of the trinity without getting a tune for now. money is a little low right now. thanks in advance. sorry if I thread jacked

Re: octane 91 or octane 91 cai
I have tuned several with and without intakes, to my surprise on the same tune AFE intakes actually created a loss in HP.
i believe due to its design, the stock with a drop in filter worked best for me, i am still awaiting from R2C to finish development.

Re: octane 91 or octane 91 cai
I might have to try putting my factory air box back on but according to the dyno ive gained 40 awhp just with afe stage II, slp catback and 91 cai canned tune. but every engine is absolutely different, air temp, humidity etc... all play a factor in dyno results. but I don't have to tell you that...
