2014 GT Question

Post by jasinedward »

Just traded up to a 2014 Mustang GT manual from a 2013 Mustang v6 auto. I unmarried my tuner from the v6 and tuned the GT with the 93 performance tune. When I went to look at the mods available for the tune I checked the gear ratio, it looked like it was set to 3.31. This car came from the factory with 3.73's according to the vin# and window sticker.

When I had it on the last car, it showed I had the 2.73's when I loaded the tune. So when I loaded it into the 2014 I did not change any settings and checked my speedo with a GPS app for my phone. It is still accurate. This doesn't mean the window sticker lied..... does it? It sure feels like a 3.73 gear set...

Also, what kind of hp/torque increases do you see on average with the Intune? This car is so damn fast, I just can't tell the difference on the street. I uploaded my info file and my last tune written for reference.

Thanks in advance!

if you didnt change the gears, dont change it in the tuner :)

it wont change it unless you do, the default value that it shows is not necessarily whats in your vehicle.

Thanks

It depends, normally 18-25whp

I assume you have already setup the default logging on the intune from the V6 so get me a couple WOT logs and I'll take a look at it for you.

1.5 is nothing. It may just be the gas in the tank.

Look 56 seconds on the graph in dataviewer. That's WOT. Notice the commanded lambda. It's better to just sample 1 or 2 gears of WOT so it's either for me to see what I'm looking at.
