Tunes

Post by jsp2134 »

I have a 2014 5.0 M6
I was running the 93 tune and my car shut off randomly. It freaked me out so I went to the 91 tune. This tune is like night and day from 93 to 91.
Is it possible that I got crap gas or is the 93 tune made for more mods. I have no mods on mine.

Also, I'm installing a Steeda CAI. Should I just use the general 100mm tune or is there a Steeda tune. And how do I go about getting it?

Thanks.

Most likely scenario is poor quality fuel that was knocking with the 93 tune...

Last fill was Exxon. Thought it was good quality. It's hard to find something besides wawa and 7/11...

Can you help with my tune question? I've been away from the game a while. I don't know how to go about getting a specific tune. Through here or where?

sorry, use the 100mm tune, it was specifically designed around the Steeda CAI :)

Thanks!
Also, it's searching for idle just a bit. Maybe 100 rpms up and back to 600. Doesn't do it all the time. Do you know why it would do that?

this is a common thing to hear after flashing these cars, seems to be hit or miss, try reloading the tune to see if it goes away.

It was doing it on the 93 tune so I went to the 91 and the same thing.
It doesn't really do it that much and I wish I was paying more attention when my car shut off on the 93 tune. Just to see if it was doing that when it went down.

It's normally because the airflow is being thrown off by the intake calling although since all of them don't do it so I don't add it to all tunes. Post your last tune written and I'll adjust it.

I am the owner of a Diablo Predator tuner purchased for my 2010 Mustang GT 4.6 L, as well as a Diablo Trinity given to me from Diablo for my test vehicle of a 2011 Ford F-150 FX2 5.0 L.

My qyestion is this, I just purchased a 2014 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 L and I need to know if I can upload/or use either of my Diablo tuners to tune the 2014 Mustang GT 5.0 L?

You can use the trinity provided you take the F150 back to stock first. Also I would make sure after taking the F150 back to stock is to make sure the trinity is updated correctly.
