Vr7140 latest update

Hi all,

I hope I am posting this in the correct area!

I have a 2005 4.6 v8 GT with the Paxton Supercharger fitted by the previous owner. I have the Predator tuner that came with the kit (vr7140) and the vortech_05 05-09r08 version.

I have just seen that there is now a r09 version and I was wondering what the changes are to this version, and whether it would be worth updating?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn't see anything.

Any thoughts appreciated!

thats the latest for your VR7140, no need to update.

Thanks for the reply. sorry, which is the latest? The r08 that I have, or the r09 that is listed in the downloads?!

the one you have.

the one you see on our site is for U7140, not VR7140.

Hi, thanks again for the reply but i'm still a little confused.

When i go to the Downloads page and select the product "vr7140" the lists of OEM tunes is shown. Scroll down to the vortech-05 line and it shows the latest version as 09-r09. The download is: http://www.diablosport.com/downloads/re ... -9r09.crom

Is this not a newer version of the vr7140_vortech_05-9r08 tune that I currently have?

yes, it does look like thats a newer update. I dont know why I wasn't seeing it on my end, but it is correct.

If 9r08 is working there is no need to update though, as it was just done to add support for new calibrations, the tunes are the same.
