Mike help please!!

Post by jjntrin »

Hello Mike, I hope you dont mind me contacting you but i am thinking of installing a predator in my 2003 Yukon denali xl. I have 24" rims on it and a K&n intake. I want to improve on my low end power and it wouldnt hurt to have a little more speed at the top end. Is there anything I should do before hand to help the install or do you know of the exact parameters i should set the Predator to. One last thing is there any danger to installing this on a vehicle with 65k miles on it. Any help is apprecitated. Thanks Jamie Holland, New Jersey

Hmm a little late but just saw this post now. Mike is in Orlando right now.

As for the Predator, installing one of the tunes that comes with the Predator will get you what it is that you are looking for. The only change you should make is to adjust for the tire size for you 24s, otherwise the tune will do all the dirty work for you with fuel, timing and air. There is no danger, the tune is not rough on the vehicle.

Enjoy!

and after you install the tune and drive for 50 miles or so, you'll want to view some real time data and get your fueling dialed in...

doing that will give you increased/quicker throttle response, faster acceleration, and stronger pull at upper rpm's (like when passing on the highway)...

you can start reading now to get familiar...
