I am temporarily using a MAF INSERT. I bought an intake for my Camaro a while
ago, and it has a plastic sleeve where the MAF is. I know what it's for, so I
put it in this FORD INTAKE, and the car is running. My idea, since I happened to
have an insert.
So, there is one solution, but doesn't give the total performance the intake is capable of.
Diablosport doesn't have a tune for it anyway, so you have no choice unless you want to go to
BAMA TUNING. They have the tune for it, for the SCT tuners they use, they just put their
name on the SCR tuners.
BAMA has also been a lot more helpful than you Mike. Diablosport has been around for
ages, and you could not figure out anything for me? Did not even offer to write a tune for
the intake? BAMA did, they use your tuners as well.
I bought a license based on what I had with my I1000, and I am NOT satisfied. I want a refund, or
something, because it was a DOWNGRADE, not an upgrade. I will sell the tuner, and buy one from
a company that knows what they're doing.
ALso? The shop I work for has been exclusive to to Diablosport, THAT is going to change.
So, FORD people, you should go with SCT tuners, since Diablosport has cut all access
to their previously available options with their new line of tuners. I cannot change
spark timing, fuel curves, intake options, NOTHING. BAMA has this support in their
tuners, and more. My I1000 had five different intake options, so did the predator
before it, and this I3 only has a K&N FIPK intake option. You need one that supports
an 85MM MAF. Diablosport, apparently, doesn't have it, or they just don't care to
help.
