I tried updating my U7170 Programmer but keep getting the error 'Unable to Store CROM Image' Seems to get stuck at 7747 of 14329 everytime. First time trying to update the Programmer, Hoping it is something minor. Any help is appreciated.

what revision was on it?

Sorry for the delay. Originally this tuner came with the truck I bought and was set to a tow tune. But the tranny would lurch and kick when you would attempt to hit the pedal. So I changed it back to the stock tune and flushed the tranny. Problem has gone away. Then I figured I would update the Tuner but I guess I have an older one and it would crap out half way through the update. Now it won't allow me to do anything, I noticed in another post that you had a replacement program (Maybe a stage 7 or something) but the programmer would not allow it, stating that it was older than the unit? Anyhoo, Just wondering what I need to do to get it back to the way it was?

Ok, I have tried and tried but cannot get it to load. I get the following message:

You are attempting to load an outdated CROM File. Please visit www.DiabloSPort.com


Any other ideas, I have taken Auto Detect off. But it still will not allow me to upload.

First screen has 'Booting Ford 7.3 100%' and then goes to 'The application is missing or corrupt' And if you hit 'Continue' it repeats itself.

No recollection. I just rushed through trying to update it, Didn't work out so well.
