How do I unmarry tuner?

I thought I read my tuner was unmarried once I restored back to the original backup. But I cant seem to use the tuner on my other car. What am I missing here?

it is unlocked once the stock tune is restored, what is the message you get?

I restored my backup tune to my 5.7L Charger before I traded it in. So I thought I'd use the tuner on my kids 3.6L challenger, but when I plugged it into the chally it said I have to get some update, which was odd, because right before I went out to the car, I did update the tuner.
So I then went back into the house plugged it into the pc and it did infact download something, but it wont install it on the tuner, it downloads something, and tells me to follow the directions on the tuner, but the tuner just hangs..
