How accurate is the datalogging A/F ratio?

Since the Predator has been out for the HEMI, several people have said not to trust the A/F ratio that the Predator datalogging returns because it is a narrow-band sensor. I think we all know that a wide-band sensor is ideal, but is there a range (say +/- .3 or something) of deviation you found between the stock O2 sensors and wide-band sensors that you can tell us about that you found during your R&D.

No, the PID you see is commanded A/F ratio, and has no correlation to what the actual A/F ratio is.

Can you explain "commanded A/F ratio" a bit more? I haven't heard this term before. Thanks.

What I get out of that definition is that HAL is asking the engine to mix 14 parts air to 1 part fuel at normal travel and about 12 parts air to 1 part fuel at WOT. This is what HAL the computer is asking for. What you actually achieve in reality could be different as best determined by a sensor ...

Commanded means that is what the PCM is shooting for, to see what it 'really' is, you need a wideband.
