problem with transferring/downloading saved data log

I have performed 2 separate data logs and saved them to the Trinity. First one had 5 PIDs and about 5 minutes of log time. I can use the DS Viewer 3.3.6 with that log file and everything works perfectly. My second data log has about 30 PIDs and about 15 minutes of log time. It shows up as a saved log but I cannot get either DS Viewer to extract it, nor will the Trinity complete the process of downloading it to an SD card...it freezes about 2 minutes into the DL. The Trinity is currently UNmarried....could this be part of the problem?

married has nothing to do with it.

what happens when you try to upload the long log to DV?
Is there a specific error?

I get the icons of a PC and a PC tower saying that data is being transferred, but it does that for 15-20 minutes and ends up erroring out with a "Communication unsuccessful" or something to that effect. i'll try again tonight and post EXACTLY what the error is indicating.

I get the icons of a PC and a PC tower saying that data is being transferred, but it does that for 15+ minutes and eventually ends up erroring out with a "Connection to tool interrupted!" message in the DS Viewer window.

Bump...looking for some help. I can't even get a log file to download to an SD card, either. It shows the "Please Wait" heartbeat dealio for about a minute and then the heartbeat part simply stops and it will stay that way until I unplug the USB/power cord from the PC.

sounds like a PC issue man.. or a bad cable...

make sure your Windows user account is an Administrator account.. . make sure you have the UAC crap disabled (user access control) for your user account... and make sure the usb port settings are not set to automatically disable after a few minutes for "power savings"...

OK, will check all the settings you mentioned, but that wouldn't explain why I can't even transfer a datalog to the SD card. I'm gonna do some logging again today with fewer PIDs and shorter recording length (timewise) and see if that makes a difference. I had success with transferring my very first test datalog, which was only 5 PIDs and 2 minutes in length.
