F150 shift firmness, am I missing something

Post by cozmo1311 »

In the description for the Diablo Predator it states shift firmness as a parameter. My U7151 does not include this option, I have updated it to the newest firmware. I just wanted some firmer shifts, one of the many reasons I purchased the tuner.
Thanks

If you do not have that option, Try posting your original backup and last tune written here and I'll see if the firmness can be increased in a custom tune for you.
No, i don't work here.

Awesome thanks. I want them firmed up pretty good for moderate throttle, the aggressive throttle shifting can be firmed up just a little. Also can anything be done about the torque converter on my truck being all plushy. Like when its not locked in overdrive, I can press the throttle and the car will gain rpms then begin to accelerate.

Thank you for the quick response.

This doesn't seem to be your last tune written. Which tune did you load?

After two days of testing, everything is fine with the tune. No check engine lights or strange happenings. If the shifting could be three times as much as it is set to now that would great or atleast a good starting point. Really looking for firm shifts at light-moderate throttle.

Thank you

Not Sure if you were clarifying my request, but yes 3x more shift pressure. If the last tune you made already incorporated this change than, after testing I have discovered I would like 2x as much as already applied and see how that works out. Also if adding more line pressure to the torque converter is possible that would be great. When my truck does shift the rpm never actually changes because the torque converter I guess is trying to use torque management.

Thank You Brian
