Windows 8.1 update messed up driver?

I can't connect my trinity anymore because it says it found the driver but won't install because the third party INS does not contain digital signature information. It worked fine before I updated to Windows 8.1

those instructions didnt work for me.

what did work, was going into the cdc folder, right clicking on the driver, selecting install, then trying to update the driver in device manager.
