I got this "This vehicle requires additional tuning before a Diablo tune can be installed"? I backed off from there until I can confirm this is no big deal. I had this tuner for my 2012 R/T, and never got this msg. before. Any feedback would be appreciated.
This is for a 2013 Charger SRT8

well apparently since I stopped it after it wanted to do additional programming last night, now my DCX wont work. I must have corrupted something.
I hit the tune icon, it tells me to put ignition in "on" position, then I get a black screen with the little turning dial. Then the dial freezes, and that's were it stays. Cant get it to do anything, other then boot up when plugged into the car.

The tuner has always said it was up to date. I plugged it in the car and got the same issue.
Tuner boots up, I pick the "Tune Vehicle" icon, "yes" to the agreement, click the "write tune" icon, then it tells me to put the car in the "on" position without starting it. Then it goes to the black screen with the turning dial in the middle of it, after about 5 seconds, the dial freezes, and that's were it stays.
It worked fine the other night when I first plugged it into the car, but I got the "additional programming" nedded messege, and didn't know what to do since that was a new screen to me. So I turned the car to "off, and unplugged it. Big mistake on my part in hindsight. But I had no knowledge of new screens to deal with at that time. This DCX worked like a charm on my 2012 R/T.
I tried to "delete vehicle", I have two VIN's listed, but it wont let me.

is it still freezing. There is nothing you need to do with the old vins stored. Just ignore that part for now. Please give us a call with the tool powered up in the vehicle to continue. You can call the number in my signature.

Tuner refuses to recognize my car. Phone tech told me to mail it in to be checked out. He never seen the "additional tuning required" msg either.
I cant find my receipt, I sure hope you guys will honor the warranty with a copy of the dated packing slip. Oh well, rather its the tuner then my pcm being kabashed!

I got the "additional tuning required" message and just let it do its thing. I had issues too and founds some answer here on the messageboards. One issue I had was after I finally got my stock tune backed up, I was installing the 91 octane and my screen went blank, white screen of death. I read somewhere here to unplug it and try again, then it went ahead and wrote the new tune.

in hindsight, I should have proceeded too, when I got the additional programming msg. But I stopped it and that's when my troubles with my tuner started. we just sold my kids chally last week, man I wish I had that car to see if it is the tuner or my car. I had a devil of a time disconnecting my plug from the car, and I wonder if I messed up my receptacle under the dash.
