Hi guys , made some clean up on my laptop this morning and now CMR wont open , can somebody help me ?

what exactly did you clean up?

maybe try reinstalling it?

When I want to finished the installation , it asking me to remove the old one , can I loose all the other files ?(tunes ect)

are you trying to load 5.0?

dont do that...just load 47092 then the 4901 update.

Ok , I just did what you told me and now I have this when Im trying to open CMR ? My laptop is so slow , that is why I did a clean up ,I should not have done that : ( Which Microsoft version I should look for in a new laptop ? Does Windows 8 is fine with CMR ?

yes, it works with win8.

try running it as administrator?

What do you mean by administrator ?

your Windows user account has to be an "Administrator" user account type...

also, if Win8 has that "User Access Control" crap like Win7 does, you'll want to disable that for your user account as well...

right click on the file and select run as administrator.

Hi, We have Windows XP on this machine. I tried to log on as an administrator but it says that I cannot open a session. Is there any other way that we can do that ?

did you try what I posted, right click the cmr icon and select run as admin?

Yes , it says user name unkown when I'm writing administrator

....who is the administrator???

this might be a pain in the butt.

try opening C:\ChipMaster Revolution\Settings and 2x click the file called cmr_reg_settings, then try opening cmr again.

We solved the problem , we had to go back has the laptop was on sunday ,( before I made the cleaning ) , everything is find now .

good move, restoring to a previous date often resolves these issues.
