Sorry guys,
Need your help again.
I tried to reload a custom tune from C&L just now and my original back up is in dispute with the custom tune.
Before loading the custom tune I saved the back up "FBHR2G4". My car is 05 Mustang GT Auto and I have a U7140.
My ECU was recently reflashed and the code is now "FBHR2G4".
I still have an older back-up on my desk top and it was "FBHR184" and all the tunes from Doug at C&L have this code.
My ECU has BKT2 on a sticker attached and this code was given to C&L.
Is BKT2 FBHR2G4 or FBHR184 ?

Has the auto electrician given me the incorrect flash or has the reflash generated, say a BKT3?
Remember my first original back up saved prior to the reflash
The custom tunes have never worked but I thought I'd try again after the reflash.

Does anyone know if FBHR2G4=BKT3?

You will have to get a new custom tune for the new calid. If you post your new original backup and your old custom tune I will fix it for you.

Right I tried it and the tune went into the device ok.

On putting it in the car, original back up got saved ok but at the stage of putting your tune in, I got;

The custom tune will not be used as it does not match the original tune for this vehicle (6e5924f8:b47e86d1)

Eeeks!!

you cant load the tune to the tool before it has saved a backup, now that it has saved the backup, reload the tune to the tool.

The back-up was saved and then the tune went into the U7140 as "custom tune loaded"
The tune you sent went into the U7140 ok but just wouldn't go into the car itself.
It comes up on the display as the exact tune you sent but then the above message comes up.

Wait. If the tool hadn't taken a backup then where did you get that file you posted originally?

The backup he posted was made with the U7140

There's been a wee development.
My ECU and U7140 are coming in the post to Florida.
