2014 Jeep Rubicon and 5:13 gears - Tune not working

I have a 2014 Jeep Rubicon unlimited which I had 5:13 gears installed in...
Knowing that I had a brand new "top of the line" tuner, I figured I was all set when I went to pick it up...When I went to set the gear ration, I noticed that it didn't go above 4:88 in numbers...Gibberish after that, yes, but not numbers...I tried setting it to 4:88...which it said it wrote correctly...Apparently that either wasn't enough gear or it did not indeed write correctly.

So,
I had the honor of "limping" my jeep over 75 miles home at 8pm on the freeway at 50 MPH...

Whats the deal guys?

I paid a LOT for this tuner...How could something this obvious go unnoticed in beta testing?...
When is the fix going to be out for this?...The tech guy told me "we have to have jeeps to test the new tunes on"...Does this mean the product wasn't tested on a 2014 Jeep Rubicon before it was sold to me as a compatible component?

I also have issues with the tuner just randomly scrolling around..The tech guy told me to loosen the screws in the back?...Really?...Is quality control so low that I have to adjust how the thing was put together so it works correctly?

So far, Im unimpressed with the tuner as a whole, and now I basically have a $70000 paperweight in my driveway.

I need this fixed ASAP.

No reply from Tech support or anything...Day 2 of my Jeep down.

Im actually "limping" it back to my guy today to get the hypertech Speedo calibrator installed...Apparently they figured out how to write gear ratio info to my Jeep without inducing limp mode.
He said we would do this "Until Diablo figures out their issues"...

I think its a shame that I have to use a competitors product to fix an obvious deficiency in yours...Funny thing is, the Diablo tech guy that I talked to on the phone mentioned I should do that exact thing "If I wanted my jeep back on the road soon"

I think I want my money back...I was sold something that does not work as advertised.

We understand your frustration, but we are working as quickly as we can to get this issue resolved. Vas gave you the advice to utilize a different means of adjustment specifically in the interest of getting your vehicle back on the road.

You are not being ignored, the fix is in the works now, and one of us will update this thread as soon as we have something useful from Engineering.

OK...So more bad news...

The Tuner WILL NOT set my lockers...In any gear or transfer case position...Does not work..

Neither does the foglight control and most other things in quick tune that I have tried.

Monitoring gauges lock up almost every time I use them...I loosened the screws as suggested and still have random scrolling issues.

Did you guys even hook this up to a 2014?...Have the tunes been verified to be safe for a 2014?...My jeep now has a small stumble every so often at idle using your 91 octane tune.

Im uninstalling this thing today and going back to my stock tune...I need answers asap...

If it comes out that this thing has damaged my jeep in some way, you will be hearing from more than just me.

Yeah, get used to it. I'm pretty unimpressed with the whole tuner myself. 2013 JKU. thing bricked my jeep the first time i tried tuning it, over a weekend with no Customer Support. I had to send the PCM to FL from AZ for them to reset, was down about a week. now the whole steering wheel control/compass/tpms thing is goin on for us JK's. I had MPG tune installed and its since been returned to stock, and i'm getting BETTER MPG now. i'm about over this thing. should've never sold my SuperChips FlashCal. all i need to do is change my damn tire sizes. this Trinity is all shiny and new and cool but it's been nothing but problems. And now they wont answer my simple question of "if i take it to a dealer for a reflash, will it fix everything?" may just spend the $90 and try. Then i'll have a Trinity for sale, cheap, if you're lookin for one! LOL.

remove the tune, update your tool, then try again. The display issue has been resolved in the update from this weekend.

Its even worse now...

The gear ratio shows up right on the tuner, it says it writes successfully..
Now jeep has check engine light again and it goes into limp mode whenever it wants to....Before, Id get a check engine light and eternal Limp mode.
None of the quick tune stuff works at all except for the traction control turn off and the gear ratio setting which are still not working correctly...Nothing...same as before..

Again, Did you guys not test any of this?...The tune info file still says its for a 2013 Jeep.

BTW, I did not install a diablo tune...just tried the quick tune stuff....It said I did not have to install a tune so I didn't.

And, BTW, the display issue IS NOT resolved...It locks up every time i switch between the stock monitors.

How can U post that all this is fixed when NOTHING is fixed?

Whats really funny is that your website still shows that this thing is compatible with a 2014 Jeep Wrangler which it is most definitely not...I believe this is classified as fraud?

I guess I'm back to the Hypertech Speedo calibrator now.

Its nice as well that the tune says it was "born on" 12-20-2013...4 Days ago...Thank you guys so much for letting me know (sarcasm)...Im sure its just as well since its actually a worse tune that the one I had before.

The display issue i was referring to is the gear ratio "gibberish" you mentioned in your first post. As for the monitoring, try making a custom layout, with all the gauges you want to log yourself, instead of the defaults. You mentioned earlier in your posts that you were heading to HyperTech to have them install their "speedo calibrator". How did that work out for you?

you guys told me to go with a different tuner "If I wanted to get my jeep back on the road"...The hypertech speedo calibrator works fine..The trinity makes jeep go into limp mode...not immediately as before, but within 200 yards of motion.

Due to the emails I received from Garrett today, I will be returning my trinity for a refund...
You guys might want to hop out on Pirate and explain to them how your tuner works just fine and how I am simply one of a few seeing this issue.

I just received my Trinity today and tried to install a 91 Oct Perf tune on my 2014 Rubicon and did the update to the latest version
(Trinity -1r11.crom) with the most recent DS Downloader version and got the following results:

-had to downgrade my calibration version from 68192925AF to 68192925AC
-After completing the 91 Oct Perf tune my wipers came on along with my headlights until I turned off and then back on the ignition
-When I first accelerated, it seemed fine, then after driving a short distance, it seemed like it would not downshift, even when coming to a complete stop. It was like I was starting in second or third gear. I could never get it to downshift, even when stomping on the accelerator.
- There was even a delay in the transmission when shifting into reverse. Like in, you press on the gas and nothing happens for a couple of seconds.
- After returning to the stock tune (twice), I now have a check engine light status, with about 8 error codes on my T1000 display...

Not happy fellas. I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow to see if they can restore to my stock configuration. You really need to be testing these revisions on the actual vehicles you claim to have compatibility with.

I am running an AFE CAI with 4:10 gears and 35 inch tires on a 3 inch lift. Pretty basic setup.

I hope this description helps to fix this mess so that others don't have to have the kind of evening I have had.
