After you have performed the initial InTune update and installed a tune in your vehicle, what is the proper way to keep the InTune up to date with the latest software releases?

I read in one post that you should reload your stock tune back into the vehicle before updating the InTune with the latest software build. In another post, the author claimed you do not need to reload the stock tune back to the vehicle prior to re-updating the InTune.

What is the proper procedure to keep the InTune updated with the latest software?

You do not need to return the vehicle to the stock tune.
The auto-updater will update the OS of the iNtune and
leave your stock tune stored on the iNtune intact.
(which I hope you have backed-up by now) :)

Or I found this as well, so who kows for sure??

Thanks for the reply. There can only be one correct answer.
I hope someone from Diablo or a tuner can answer this question.

No need to restore....checking for updates periodically is never a bad idea.

Mike, thanks for the response.
I own a C6 Corvette Grand Sport. When the Diablo tune is uploaded, is there any difference in the tune parameters when the driver selects 'Competition Mode' versus the standard driving mode? In the stock GM tune, I believe the Comp Mode increases the rev limiter, timing and decreases torque management parameters, possibly other parameters also. Does the InTune program apply tuning parameters to both 'Modes' or just one of the Modes (which one)?
The InTune is a great product and I highly recommend it to other C6 owners!
