A friend of mine sold his 2005 ford F350 and got a 2007 ford F350 and asked me to update his programer with the latest update before he put it in his new truck. When I was looking at his programer I noticed that he forgot to install the orignal back up into his old truck. His old truck has the tow haul tune loaded onto it. He is not sure if the dealership has his old truck and if they do how to get access to it to restore it. Is there anything else he can do or is he screwed?

The only way to unlock the tool is to restore the original backup to the truck that it came off of.

My buddy called the dealership today and the truck is sold. There is no way he can load the factory prgram back into the truck. There is nothing you can dofor him? You are saying that he would have to buy a new programer. It is a computer you have to be able to do something.

The predator is vin locked to the truck that contains the tune. Like stated before the only way to unlock this tool is return the original back up (stock tune) to the truck it is vin locked to.
