Hello, I just bought the diablo intune (I-1000) for my 2009 G8 GT. it is in the mail and I will be installing the tune as soon as it gets here. my questions is

I will want to be running the 91/93 tune for my car I have a vararam intake and cat back exhaust, no other mods have been done yet. after the tune is installed I will be deleting the cats off the car.

my main issue is should I just run the 91/93 tune(s) for my car or should I get a custom tune?

only place around my area (Delaware) that I see uses diablo is a dodge tune shop and I don't know if they will touch my GM car and the other place I saw uses HP for a tuner. I would like to get the most out of my car. I know that a dyno run is best but again not really any one I have seen will touch it.

I am new to the whole tuning deal. so please help in any way possible. if a custom tune can be ordered how do I go about that and how much does it cost..

thanks

You have no choice but to get a custom tune if you remove the cats. Thats illegal and none of DiabloSports tools will allow it. You need to hook up with Lew and have a tune done to turn off the rear O2s.

for a dyno tune, check out JPC racing.
For an email tune, check out www.diablewtune.com

Whats the connectivity issue?
Sounds like you're on the phone with one of my guys as I type this....

yea i talked with one of the guys, sorry getting back late, i work grave shift so i sleep most of the day. when i first got the tuner i updated it and all the files updated but i was missing the GM (go figure)tune, so he made me re update it. and it worked fine.

i honestly haven't noticed that much of a gain (if any), yea i know it's only 25 (if that) but i read people say OMG I NOTICED SO MUCH BLAH BLAH BLAH. i noticed a firmer shift but the TCM Firm Shift software i installed

i installed the Diablo 93 tune and a firm shift and turned off the DoD (yes i am running 93 Octane) i am still learning all the little things i can do with the tuner. i just wish id be able to get more out of it with out having to get a custom tune, i honestly believe i wasted my money for nothing, because now i have to spend 135 from that one dude to internet tune me or go to JPC or some other place and fork out 100's more for a custom tune to really wake up the car....

09 G8 GT, i Am running a x pipe with cats and manga pac mufflers in the rear with a Vararam intake. i wish i could tune it for the intake and exhaust myself, feels like it get more bang for my buck that way.

maybe there is a way to tune it myself really with what i have.

if you all have input please relay it to me, i am NOT BASHING Diablosports at all, please don't take offence. i am keeping the tuner just have to fork out 100's more lol

thanks

the logs have to be opened in the dataviewer software, you can convert them to .csv from there if you want.
