Ordered a brand new programmer, and was excited to recieve it today. but when i installed it, the brake and abs lights come on. they go off when i shutdown and restart my engine, but they return after driving down the road. ive seen where others have posted the same issue from way back. was there ever a fix for this? may just return it. i have an 07 z71 new body. thanks

thanks mike for the response, but i havent yet tried the update you posted. i read somewhere else online that somebody said to lower the top speed down to 120 or below. i selected dod off, 285 70 17 (which is my larger than stock tire size), and lowered the top speed to 119 (i think it was default 150), and now its working with no lights on. not sure if this is what fixed it, or not, but i had tried installing it 3 times before, and it did not work until i lowred the top speed. hope this helps somebody.

yes, but no need unless you are having issues with the abs lights after tire size changes

If a customer of mine is experiencing issues with the ABS light being on and the ABS engaging incorrectly and he has stock tires will this still fix it?

no.. if he has not changed the tire size via the tool, this won't do anything for him Matt..
also, make sure he has not raised the speed limiter to anything higher than 120mph.. that also causes that issue...
so.. make sure he has no tire size changes made, and speed limiter has to be 120mph or lower..

Is there a fix for the older hardware U7194's that can't get updated past 9r10?

no.. it's not a problem with the tool. it's a limitation of the GM ecm/abs module in those trucks..
and no, there is no fix for those olllld discontinued predators to be able to update it past 9r10.. it's a hardware limitation of the predator.. and there is no predator hardware anymore, hasn't been for years.. 9r10 is as high as that older 7194 can go..
