Wont restore original backup PCM error unlock for reflash (-

When trying to restore my factory original backup it ends up saying it was unable and gives me error PCM error unlock for reflash (-34) it also says my truck has like 15 cels when after attempting the restore. HELP!

you can try disconnecting the battery for a minute first, if not, give us a call with the tool powered up in the truck and we'll see whats going on.

Yep, I have the same problem. After working on the phone with you guys, I sent the pcm/ tool into diablosport. Got the pcm/ tool back, put it into the truck, same error message "pcm error unlock for reflash (-34) when I tried to restore the original back up file. I had to send my pcm/tool to my tuner (Hemituner)to bench flash Arringtons' custom tune into pcm. You have sent me another cable, but I'm not willing to risk trying this again. So, let me know what resolution found with this one. I will try that.

Hmm, so basically your lack of a response means that I'll just have to have my pcm bench flashed everytime I need to update the tool or have a revision made to my custom tune. Don't get me wrong diablosport, I'm grateful that you came out with support for the 2013 Ram 1500. It allowed a custom tune to be written and installed into the pcm. It just cost me $190 to send in my pcm/tool to you. Why it wasn't updated to 1r11 is beyond me, so if I want to data log I have to send everything back for an update or buy a LM-2 at $350-$450. Had to send pcm/tool to AJ to bench flash everything at $99 because even after it came back from Diablosport it will not restore the original back up (PCM: error unlock for reflash (-34)) to update/ install custom tune. Agreed, it might not be your tool problem, but the trinity isn't seeing what it wants. I could use some suggestions from your engineers to why that code is happening.



From my Tuner: "Well I'm happy to say I finally recovered this thing. It's headed out am. I'm not sure what's going on but the trinity at random crashed the box with just a canned tune. I cleaned it out and restored it."

I have two issues, one being the trucks battery is toast, I have to boost the truck to my car to start it, it needs to go to the dealer to be warrantied. I need the tuner unmarried and my truck back to factory to take it in. I also need it unmarried so I can do the tuner update. Second issue is your tech hours are my working hours, I'll try calling at 7am my time which would be 9am est and hope I get through right away.
