remote start
remote start
I just tuned my 2011 dodge ram 5.7 V8 yesterday. One thing I forgot to do is unplug the fuse on my aftermarket remote start system. Woke up this morning rolled out of bed , hit the start button....nothing -_-. Is there a way to fix this ? Can I install factory setting then unplug the fuse and install my tune ??

Re: remote start
the tune should have no affect on an aftermarket remote start....

Re: remote start
I cant see how they are tied together, the aftermarket remote start should have no clue what the status of the pcm is...

Re: remote start
No, they are having reduced range issues with their factory remotes, they are not having aftermarket remote start problems, quite a difference.marcus23 wrote:http://www.diablosport.com/forum/viewto ... 56#p263356 these people have the same problem

Re: remote start
Ok sorry , my mistake so you guys never heard of any issue like this before ?
Like I said I did not disconnect it when tuning my vehicle. Idk if this will affect it or not.

Re: remote start
No, not like this at all...you could try restoring, then starting over with it disconnected.

Re: remote start
I actually noticed a similar problem with my 2011 Dodge Avenger while the Diablosport is plugged in, after the car has been turned off for a while, like a half-hour or more, the remote start seems to be completely non functional until/unless I use the remote unlock first, THEN it will respond to the remote start, which sucks because the range on remote start is much farther than the remote unlock for whatever reason... so if I want to remote start my car from a distance I need to keep the Diablosport unplugged when turning off the car :/
Kinds makes me wish there was an OBD2 A/B switch so I could avoid having to repeatedly plug and unplug the cable.
I could demonstrate this in person too, Sunrise isn't very far from Delray, planning on dropping by go get an ODB2 cable with the opposite cable angle anyway.
