06 charger cai tune shifts tranny to neutral when tires spin
Just got the Intune I1000. After an hour of doing all the updates, which I'm glad to see that it's being updated, I put the CAI Tune onto my PCM. It's an 06 Charger RT with a Mopar CAI, 89K miles, that's it. Car runs like a bat outta hell but when I floor it and the tires spin the transmission shifts to neutral. I can't accelerate, only thing I can do is shift to neutral, turn the car off and then back on then shift to D and it's just fine. There is a check engine light coming on when this happens, I forget the code but it mentions MIL something... and this happened with the traction on and off. I never had an issue with the car before I put this tune on it. Any suggestions? Thoughts?

Re: 06 charger cai tune shifts tranny to neutral when tires
you need better tires...or learn to roll into the throttle
Car is making too much power for those tires to hold now.
If you raised shift points, be sure to bump the limiter a bit.
Thanks

Its hitting the rev limiter and going into limp mode. Gotta raise the limiter.

Good information... I'm assuming there isn't a setting where I can keep bouncing it off the limiter without it going into limp mode? FYI - month old bf Goodrich t/a tires, not the tires, just gotta re-learn the car I guess. I'm hesitant on changing the rev limiter cause I don't want to blow the motor... $5-6K for a new motor, not installed.
