Well... it'll be an easier sell to my wife than the tuner itself.mikel wrote:Cant hurt
Could I get away without it? I keep hearing that the blowby from the PCV lowers octane and causes knocks in the premium tunes...

Have you checked the FWD Pentastars intake manifold to be sure of that? I haven't gotten my hands on one yet, but if its got a PCV system like the Hemis, 3.5, 2.7, and RWD Pentastars it will absolutely need one. Mopar can't design a decent PCV system to save their lives. They pump PCV oil in right behind the throttle body.

Yup, you're right Mike, those Chrysler PCVs are like oil sieves.Mike_Levy wrote:Have you checked the FWD Pentastars intake manifold to be sure of that? Damn... Devil on one side, angel on the right. Figures the guy from Diablosport would be the devil.
Thanks for the input guys...

Easy way to check; Pull off your air intake pipe. Open the throttle blade, or remove the throttle body, and see if there's oil or gunk in the manifold. If there is, you need a catch can. If not, you're good, or not driving hard enough.

YES YOU NEED ONE!!! Just go to the avenger forums and go under the 3.6 page and I have my thread there. And have a picture of after just a hundred miles all the oil and water from condensation the catch can got.
