2010 Ram Hemi Predator problem

Post by Treverj »

First time poster. I have searched the forum before posting my question but can't find a solid answer. I have a 2010 ram hemi with 3.92 gears. Installed the 87 octane tune today and took it off after taking it for a short drive. I was getting a ping/knock when my MDS was coming on and off. I think it was more when it was shutting off. I'm very green when it comes to tuning. I'm looking for MPG not performance. I drive my truck very easy. Wondering if there's anything I can do to remedy the problem. I sure hope I didn't waste my money buying this product.

I run 87 octane so I installed the 87 octane tune. Truck is completely stock aside from having K&N panel filter. I live at sea level.

I would disable the mds and let it run as a true v8, but also another thing to look at is getting a custom tune done sine you are at sea level.. more particular if your in CA a custom tune will do you better as CA as here in AZ have two different fuel blends both summer and winter
