Really...again

Post by monster71 »

OE tune wont load. This is the 3rd time this happens since October. The OE loads 100%. Tuner says turn key off. I did. It just sits there and says turn key off. And it is off. So I have no choice but to disconnect and retry. Then of course as it goes through the process it gets to 54% and says cannot load tune. Error is pcm load (-1).

I just updated the tuner last night and installed canned 91. Went to put back OE and get this
problem. Guess its stuck again in recovery.

2013 Challenger R/T.
T1000
1r11b is what tuner shows now ( like I mentioned I updated it last night and it showed updated)

I cant believe I have to call in everytime I reinstall OE tune. Isnt this a plug n go not a plug and no go?

I have disconnected battery and reconnected after 10 min. Nothing. Done it with a battery charger on. Nothing. Tried with door open so it wont time out. Nothing.

Thx Mike. I did. Garett couldnt get it and since Im still under factory he said I could take it in and get flashed and play dumb customer at the dealer. So I guess I will have to have it towed in as the car wont even turn on. Im lost here. Please provide some input as I am really hesitant to use the Trinity again. I have had to call DS 3 times since Oct to help do OE installs. I dont play with the tuner and follow all directions U guys give me. Here is where I am at.

Worked with Vas last week on a CRC mismatch. All good. OE installed. He said once I get my car back to update tuner via DSDL and connect to car to get new back up as dealer may flash. Which I did. So tuner updated at my PC. Took it to my car. Backed up OE tune. Went back to PC and saved back up OE tune. Went back to car and installed canned 91. All good. Drove car around all day Sunday. Noticed a clicking noise so knew car had to go back to dealer and that OE needed to be installed. So I connect Trinity. Go to install OE and it freezes. Now DS cant fix it.

I dont mind if say my PC at home crashes. I dont drive that. But I have one car to drive. I dont have an extra. I get it. We r messing with a "computer". But you cant expect people to be happy campers when we spend $$'s to get a tune and then run into issues several times over.

Garett didnt explain why this happened. Can you? Is there anything I could have done (except using a non OE tune) that will give me peace of mind when considering whether to use again?

I love it when the tune works. Its awesome. But when this happens, not to happy.

Damn.. I have 1r11b on my Avenger 3.5L, 87octane tune.. I'm a little worried that I won't be able to set it back to stock now.
