Will restoring original backup tune clear trouble codes?

Post by DartByU »

I'm running the 91 tune + some mods and have had the ABS light and traction control light come ON just after starting, then going down the road the engine light comes on and the transmission goes to neutral even though it's in Drive and I have to coast to a stop, shut it off and restart to get it to actually engage Drive. It's done this twice in 2 weeks and the car shows no codes in the EVIC and the Trinity says I have no trouble codes??? It's still under warranty so if I restore the original backup will any codes the dealer could read be erased?

Sounds like car going into limp mode. Were u "getting on it"? I know too much tire spin to fast will cause it to go into limp mode too. I was playing with the autostick once and not sure how or what I did, I was definetly on the throttle hard, and had the same thing happen.

No, just driving down the dry road.

Thanks, I guess I'll restore backup and hope it does it again soon.
