Battery life?

I've sold my 06 grand prix GXP. I love the device and i'm keeping it in hopes of you guys having tunes for the 2012+ regal gs which will be my new car in sept. I'm currently putting around in a 08 kia rondo, lol. its the spare car and its so slow and ugly.

Anwyays the thing that irritated me the most was the battery life on this thing. I'd use it one time tune for fan control. Put it away and a week later grab it plug it in and the battery would be to low for me to do anything. I only used it once for like 5 min????? So am I doing something wrong? After this happened, everytime before I used it I would plug it into the computer for a couple of hours before use.

huh??? there is no battery in the diablosport tools at all.. they get their power from the obd port in the vehicle, or via the usb cable when you connect it to your computer...

And did you remember to restore the factory backup before you sold the GXP? Otherwise it'll cost you to reset the tool before you can use it again.

Ok that explains alot then...While its plugged into the vehicle it would say not enough power to continue tune or something. So I assumed the battery was internal.

As far as the whole tune I did not change the tune to stock on the car before I sold it....So how much would this run to have it reset?
