Just to verify

You can't piggyback tune through the OBD-2 port, right? I'm trying to explain that OBD-2 tuning has to be written to the ECU and piggybacking has to go through individual sensors, but some dense individuals don't seem to believe me. I'm right, right?

there are obdII devices that are not flashing to make changes, like the doohickey that plugs in and disables AFM on GM vehicles, but its not piggybacking, as its actually talking directly to the PCM through the OBDII port.

This is the box we were talking about; http://www.ebay.com/itm/ECU-TUNING-OBDI ... 1377525872

I think its complete and utter bullshit. How can one box talk to all those different computers, on 4, 6, 8 and 12 cylinder engines? No way in hell could it work.

GIANT red flags:

all their claims sound like the other 'chips' the rest of the world has learned to avoid
No manufacturer website? Really?
Made in Poland (!)
Its 2014, and the product is called 'chipbox'

Then there is this amazing statement:

How does our Chipbox works? It works by changing fuel map in ECU.
The result is increase fuel pressure in injection rail and pressure turbocharging.
After that your engine works smoother and better accelerate and less fuel consumption to safe your money.
All chipbox are programmed for specific car to be safe in daily use.

No clue what it does after reading that. To me, its just the same $69 g-force thing thats been sold for years, but now its just a box of nothing that plugs into the OBDII port instead of under the hood ;)

The power of the placebo effect is strong with many consumers ;)

Looks like the same shit box you were gaga over with the Audi.

I told you, the Audis went through the MAP sensors and gave false readings to the ECU so it didn't cut boost. This is nowhere near that.
