Guys, the SRT8 tranny issue is back

Its happening again, like it was with the earlier versions (pre-r17). The car doesn't wanna give up its gear. It will upshift fine, but it won't downshift to accelerate without hitting the WOT switch. I though this was solved with r17?

Any chance a simple TCM reset will solve this?

I would try the TCM reset first, yes.

Thanks

Thanks Mike. I'll reset it tonight and see what happens on my way to work tomorrow.

TCM was reset, no improvement. Its gotta be something in the 93 CAI tune. When I put it back to stock, the lag went away and it downshifted with minimal throttle. The 91 CAI tune acted the same way, downshifting without having to floor the pedal.

Same here. I assume you are talking about in automatic/D/Drive. It won't downshift unless it's set back to original. What is the update, if any, on this? I've reported back to you guys numerous times that the battery disconnect, TCM reset, etc. provided no change. I, too, am using the 93 CAI.

Mike, I know you're doing your best but could we please have an answer as to whether or not you will be addressing this? There's a bunch of us who are being patient and have waited many months because you have a wonderful reputation. But, the responses are vague here and on the lx forums.

So, will you be fixing this issue in the next month or so?

I guess at this point I nned a car with this issue to stop by the shop so we can see first hand what is going on.
But yes, we will continue to work to solve any and all issues.

Thanks

The shop is in Boca Raton? I'll be in Orlando with the car at the end of March. How long of a trip is it? If its not too far I can stop by.

Actually we are in Delray Beach.
About 2-1/2 hours south of Orlando.

Thanks

You're the man. I appreciate your time and how frustrating this must be for you, too. I lived in Boca for a bit- got too humid. Go outside for 10 seconds and covered in sweat. Don't know how you guys do it.

I'll check in in a month or so if we haven't heard anything.

Thanks, again, for keeping on top of this.
