I have restored the factory tune to my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L. I connected to PC for auto-updates, once updated I connected to 2012 Ram 1500 5.7L. I got the "... needs PCM update..." message, so I connected to PC again for updates, and received a "...Calibration ID: 68064923AE Status: Error..." message, then it tells me to disconnect and reconnect, then same message and to contact technical support. Help please...

I-1000 for an 05 will not work for a 2012, that requires the I-1000-DCX model due to the added encryption of the 11-up PCMs.

Sorry about that.

Thanks

Are you kidding me!?! It seems totally ridiculous that I have to buy another tuner, to tune THE SAME ENGINE in a newer truck. The I-1000 appears to look identical to the I-1000 DCX. So you mean to tell me that the internal hardware is totally different in the DCX, and there in NO WAY to update the software for the added encryption? I calling shenanigans, this seams like a scam... I'm pretty disappointed. I will not be recommending Diablosport to anyone... ever.

unfortunately the engine has nothing to do with it sir, its the new PCM, and the encryption Chrysler put in there specifically to keep us out that required the different device, sorry about that but it was necessary.

The tool you have is still good for an GM or Ford, and 05-10 DCX applications.

Thanks
