I finally got my intune hooked up to my truck but then another problem occurred.... it pulls up the tune vehicle menu just fine. I click on write vehicle and turn the key like to on and off positions like it request. but then it just goes straight back to the "tune vehicle" menu. I repeated steps multiple times and still nothing...????? what should I do from here. I have a 2006 chevy 2500 HD LT with the 8cly 8.1L vortech.... I just want to get this straightened out and enjoy my intune. please give me some advise....

it shouldn't ask for key off at the beginning?

Mikel,
I ordered my intune for my 2005 Silverado today at a local Diablosport authorized dealer, and I'll be picking it up tomorrow. I've been researching as much as I can to familiarize myself with it before picking up it. After reading the op's question, it has me wondering about my aftermarket cd player. I bought the truck a month ago, and it already had a panasonic head unit in it. Does this mean I will need to pull the front of my dash off and disconnect the cd player anytime I want to write a tune or restore it to factory?

it is likely going to be required, yes. It depends on the harness used to adapt it but most cause issues from what I see.

Good to know. Is there any harm in trying before I disconnect it? Will I mess anything up? Or will it just fail to write if it needs it be disconnected?
