Calibration ID error

Post by poolboy »

New DCX owner. First post. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I didn't find it with a search.

I own a stock 2014 Durango with the Hemi. As with a motorcycle, first thing you do is uncork it (K&N or similar, exhaust, and PowerCommander or similar). Did some homework and decided on a DCX from Hemifever. Received it, completed the registration and updates. Hooked it up to the Dingo and was informed it may need an update. Hooked it up to the PC again and received a Calibration ID error - contact Support. Traded e-mails with Support and learned, "A calibration is the “name” of the software your vehicles computer is using specifically. These calibration updates are just like typical electronic software updates that are loaded to your vehicles computer from Dodge." And the hard part, "Your vehicles calibration was just added to Trinity, so it will be added to Intune DCX next. It should happen very soon at this point." That was two weeks ago.

Questions -
Have others run into this error?
How long did it take to get the update so you could add a canned tune?

It just seems odd that I have to wait for an update for a Durango that was built in Nov 2013, bought in Dec 2013 and has not been back to the dealership.

If anyone has more information on Calibration ID errors, I'd appreciate any feedback, links, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply, but hold that thought. I plugged in the DCX to get the info.xml. After a check for updates, a download and a reboot I am at a screen with"Calibration updates loaded to inTune". Hope it was the update for CalID 68172057AC.

The Dingo is tuned! Thanks for the quick responses. Thanks to Mike M for the in-vehicle tips. And last but not least, thanks to Vas for politely replying to my "Are we there yet?" e-mails for two weeks.

Gotta go play.
