2014 Dodge Challenger SXT and Traction Control

Post by Belrix »

Hello

I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger SXT and when I try to disable the traction control I get a message after 10% that says "Unable to Update Traction Control".

I have updated my I-1000 to the latest software.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I guess I'm a little slow this morning, can't find the calibration ID on the tuner or in the software!

Here is the info from the info.xml file:

cal_id PCM='68214241AG'

Is this what you needed?

Thanks for the reply

Hmm... This sounds familiar except mine is a 2014 Charger R/T. Has never worked and I guess they're still working on it since I still haven't heard anything back from my post on July 9th.

Good luck!

Uh Oh - My 2014 SRT traction control hasn't worked since I first hooked up my Trinity about a month ago and changed the throttle response. Restored to the original tune and still no traction control. Taking it to the dealer on Thursday 9/11. Hoping they don't say it's my fault due to the tune.

I have the exact same issue on my '13 Charger R/T Road and Track. I'm still waiting on a resolution as well.

TRACTION CONTROL

Post by Brian13RT »

Are there any updates regarding the inability of my DCX to disable my traction control? Even though this isn't something that I want to do every day ... I still want to have the ability to do it whenever I desire to. In my opinion my DCX is broken since there is a function that doesn't work.

would you like a customtune for now that will disable TC when loaded?

Thanks

I currently have the 91 time installed with modified parameters (20% throttle boost, disabled MDS, etc). Will the cust tune for disabled traction control also be a 91 tune with the modified parameters?

Here is my last tune written. It is the canned 91 octane tune with the following modifications:

- Disabled MDS
- Increased Top Speed Limiter to 190 mph
- Increased Throttle Response 20%
- Added 5% (Rich) WOT Fuel to all 3 RPM Ranges (due to having an LMI Hammer CAI)

Also, since it isn't letting me disable Traction Control I also posted my info.xml file as well in case you need it.

Please let me know when the custom tune is ready (which will reflect the above 91 octane tune + disabled Traction Control).

Thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I loaded the tune and everything went good. I took the car out and was rolling at about 25mph when I put it to the floor. The car downshifted and the rear tires broke loose. It never did that before so I assume the custom tune did its job.

My only question now is in regards to the lights that illuminated on the dash. There are only 2 lights on and I guess I was expecting 3 -- so I want to make sure that everything is truly fully disabled (Traction Control, as well as Electronic Stability Control).

The only 2 lights that are illuminated are the ABS light and the light that shows a car leaving black marks behind it. The light that shows a car leaving black marks behind it and also has the word "OFF" below it is NOT illuminated. I guess I was expecting to see all 3 lights displayed (ABS light, car leaving black marks behind it, AND car leaving black marks behind it with the word "OFF" below it).

I guess I just want to make sure that Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control are both fully disabled by this custom tune. For now I will load this tune when I want to have a little fun and load the other 91 tune that I had previous to this when I want T/C and ESC enabled.

Please let me know if the results I'm having are correct (in regards to the dash lights), as well as when a fix is available that will resolve the issue of Traction Control not being disabled in the Quick Adjust menu. Ideally, I want to be able to go into the Q/A menu and disable Traction Control that way.

Thanks!
