Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
I returned the vehicle to stock …. no change … still no A/C .
And the same (U1113) error keeps logging even after repeated clearing.
FYI: When I updated to V.1r12a … I lost the audio functions on the steering … but recovered them using the old trick of enabling… disabling and enabling again the TPMS .
Please help as the heat is deadly !
I drove 300 miles on highway on Thursday and must drive them back tomorrow

Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
That code is not related to the A/C. Its for the IAT sensor. Nothing the tuner does would have any effect on the A/C. Your A/C is just broken.

Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
Yes I have ... for over 1 hour .
No change.
No change.
Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
Well, I just finished the forced calibration update and guess what... NO CHANGE!!!!!!
This is just ridiculous! Every time I call DS it's a different story. This time Mike said he hasn't heard of the EVIC control (Stereo, auto head lights don't work, compass doesn't work etc) in months but I called in a month ago and they told me "they just got another JK in and were in the process of testing".
Now still no EVIC controls and no A/C! They say they don't see how it's anything they caused because the Jeep should be at the stock configuration with the stock tune after the forced calibration update.
Well guess what DS, The friggin' Trinity caused all of this and yet you say it can't be us. I've been very patient in hopes you would man up and fix the problem. I've heard that you were"working on it" so I haven't pushed it but this takes the cake! No A/C in August! What the @%$!. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND DON'T BS US ANY MORE!
I will blast all of the forums and Facebook with this story since October 2012 to help others from being taken by you if you don't. All I ask is you stand behind your mistake! We're all human, I get that. It's what you do after the mistakes have been made that tells the tale!
I look forward to your response!
Mike

Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
The problem caused by the DS was NOT with the PCM. It was with the TIPM configuration. The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is a lot more than JUST a fuse box as it appears to be. It is responsible for a lot of the power switching/modulation/distribution, and communications with the PCM & other systems in the JK electrical system. Basically, the TIPM is another computer, with printed circuits, integrated circuits, relays, modulators, microchips and fuses.
The DS messed up the configuration and caused the TIPM to diagnose malfunctions for accessories JKs don't even have (our TIPM is the same installed on several other Chrysler vehicles).
Because the configured information became corrupted, the correct data had be obtained online from the DealerConnect or from another JK of the same production year. As soon as this was performed, everything works perfectly as it was when stock:
* Compass is back
* Audio Steering Controls are back
* Rear Wiper parks itself where it should
* AC is back
Cheers,

Nice, so how can DS use what YOU figured out, NOT them, after ALLLLLL this time, to help the rest of us? That's what I want to know. Hopefully they read your post and learn something from it and fix their shit.

I have communicated my findings …diagnosis and solution to DS (Mike Litsch, Vasilliv & Garrett) by phone & email.camo36 wrote:Nice, so how can DS use what YOU figured out, NOT them, after ALLLLLL this time, to help the rest of us? What I cannot comprehend and what they need to figure out is how can the DS restore factory configurations properly when problems start.
Anyone update to the latest crom file v.1r12c ?? (preferably with 2012 JK)
Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
Ok. I'm glad you got it figured out, the REAL problem. And you're right, they need to allow the tool to restore the factory settings after their tool messes them up. And the tool needs to restore the factory settings WITHOUT the need of a tune being always loaded to regain the functions. Hopefully they take your feedback and use it wisely to help the rest of us.
And no, I havent updated mine since January.

I have tride r12c on my 2014 jkur and the only thing I have tried is the cooling fan parameters and of course it doesn't work. So I sent an email to Vas and he replied to that the fan settings is not working with r12c yet so there will be new software update date that addressing this issue.Desertbuzz wrote:I have communicated my findings …diagnosis and solution to DS (Mike Litsch, Vasilliv & Garrett) by phone & email.camo36 wrote:Nice, so how can DS use what YOU figured out, NOT them, after ALLLLLL this time, to help the rest of us? Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
I just returned from the dealer and $130.00 poorer but the problems the Trinity caused are all fixed within 30 minutes. The root issue is that the DS Trinity wiped out the TIPM (Total Integrated Power Module- Fuse block) so the TIPM didn't know what vehicle it was in since it is used in all Chrysler/ Dodge vehicles. It needed to be reconfigured with the specs for my VIN number to reload all of the features my Rubi JK has: like A/C steering stereo controls, auto headlights, rear hardtop wiper, etc...
Now everything is working fine but DS still doesn't know when they will have the quick adjusts fixed so it doesn't kill the config. in the TIPM. I just noticed this morning that there is now a 13 Crom on the update page but still no info from DS telling us what is in it. I bought this tuner in good faith (over $600.00 of my hard earned good faith) and they said this morning that I should steer clear of the quick adjusts (like tire size adjustments) which is one of the main reasons for buying it.
Come on DS, work on this seriously as this has been going on since October of 2012. Turning a blind eye and even worse, not informing your customers of the problems the quick adjust can cause is poor business at the very least and malicious on the other end...
IF the Trinity can wipe out the TIPM why can't DS pull the same files that the dealer did to restore it?!?!?!?
Being 1st on the market with a product (2011+ Chrysler tunes) doesn't mean $hit when you have done your due dilengence with PROPER testing!

Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
Good day all!
Installed a trinity on my 14 rubicon and after 1 trip wheeling it and using the quick adjust (only reason I bought the trinity) to disable stability control, I lost my a/c. I tried to put the vehicle back to stock but was giving me an error message. When I called in to the phone support I was told " no watermark and proceed to the dealer for service and maintenance"
Just received my 14 Rubicon back from the dealer today (week and 1/2) of troubleshooting and they replaced
1. A/c pressure switch (was reading g 495psi)
2. TIPM
3. ECU
Now the Trinity's locked and needs to be unlocked prior to use.
Diablo,
Is this a common problem with the TIPM?
Do I need be concerned about uploading tunes again?
Thanks

Re: No A/C after V.1r12a update !
if the switch failed, thats a mechanical issue, we cant do that.
I cant imagine a TIPM needing to be replaced, ever.
We test on and beat up TIPMs here and do anything wrong you could imagine, then we simply reprogram them and they are fine.
If they also replaced the pcm, i feel like they were just throwing parts at it, eslecially if you drove it there.
Fax or email us proof of the pcm replacement then call with the tool powered up so we can reset it for you.
Thanks

I agree with Mike here. The dealer took the easy road and just replaced every possible part... unnecessarily.
As it happened to me last summer ... the 1r12a update affected the TIPM programming causing it to give off a faulty A/C pressure switch error code.... This was immediately proven wrong when replacing the pressure switch with a new one resulted in no change.
Also, at first the dealership wanted to change my PCM (on the warranty and all) ... but I refused as I was positive it wasn't necessary either.
It was only a matter of reprogramming the TPIM. Problem solved and everything was back to factory.
Latest CROM update works fine now, minus when trying to adjust the TPMS threshold. The Trinity freezes (hangs).
