Need help please ...

Post by Brian13RT »

I'm pretty new to the whole tuning process so I need some help. I haven't done anything crazy to my car, but I do want to make sure that it is running efficiently, as well as getting the most performance possible out of it. However, above all, I want to also make sure that the engine is running correctly and safe from harm.

To date, I have the following done to my car performance wise ('13 Charger R/T with the 5.7L Hemi):

- Magnaflow magnapacks w/resonator deletes
- LMI Hammer CAI
- 91 octane tune (+20% throttle boost, increased shift firmness, removed rev limiter, disabled MDS, +5% WOT fuel)

I data logged the car on my way in to work this morning. It is about a 30 minute drive and most of the time I just kept it at a normal 65 mph ... but I did step on it a couple of different times. I also did a couple of WOT runs, just to get a little bit of everything recorded on the data log.

Here is my question. Tonight I plan on looking at the data log on my PC, but I have never done this before. So I just need to know what exactly to look for when doing this? I've seen other screen shots and there seems to be an overwhelming amount of data to look at. I want to make sure my car is running strong performance wise, but also want to make sure the engine isn't going to be damaged in any way -- especially since this is my daily driver.

Wanting to make sure things such as the air/fuel ratio is good, as well as the spark/timing settings. I for sure want to avoid detonation and engine knock.

So any advice/suggestions on what I'm looking for would be helpful. Also, is it possible for me to upload my data log on here and have somebody on the Diablosport side review it and let me know how things look?

Many thanks in advance! And sorry for the questions -- I'm for sure a newbie to the tuning world. :?

Do you by chance have a wideband installed? I installed one and had the car custom tuned, what a difference. Don't get me wrong, the 91 Octane Tune is good too. Regarding the DataViewer logging, just hook up your ODB-II cable to the InTune and the USB cable from the InTune to your PC. Once you launch the DataViewer software, the vehicle will connect. It takes a minute or two. Attached is what I log.
