I got a problem on my 2013 GC SRT8 with Trinity. Followings are what I experienced today.
I updated my Trinity to “1r13a” and reselected the vehicle type “2013 JEEP GC 6.4L HEMI (SRT-8)“ before plugging up with my car. Then connect the battery charger and plug the Trinity to OBD port. Pressed the Performance button after turning on the ignition key, then select Diablo Tune to install 91 Octane Tune. The tool started to backup stock data and I got “saved successfully” massage. Then, cycle the ignition key and the tuner started writing the PCM. When the writing progress bar is at 10%, it stopped and I got no response even after 30 minutes. (The display went into sleep mode, the progress bar appears when press any key but still 10% ...) I stayed the ignition key on position and tried to reconnect the tuner, but got no communication.
As a last resort, I turned the ignition key off and unplug the tuner from OBD port, plug it with my PC. Then got message the last tune did not finish the original will be restored. So, I re-plugged the tuner with my car again, turn on the ignition key, finally the tuner started to communicate and restore the stock tune to the PCM and it seems coming back to stock!
Is this correct procedure to recover the install problem while writing PCM that may occur again?
I’d like to know if I can proceed again to tune my car...

yes, it appears that the PCM may have cut communication off with the vehicle at some point. The tool has a recovery mode, though, that helps recover the vehicle in situations where the tool recognizes a failure, such as being unplugged. If the vehicle started up after the recovery you should be good to go and can try the process again.
