dead battery Trinity T-1000?

So i'm at work at the moment, and just received my Trinity T-1000 today. I had to send my original tune in, before they would send me my custom tunes. So I got that taken care of, and went to verify that I loaded all three custom tunes on to it. I figured i could just go to performance and look, and as long as i didn't try to load a tune onto anything wouldn't make much of a difference. But it says "Battery is below 11.0V. Please Charge battery." Now I can't see anywhere about charging a battery for the Trinity, and I saw a post that says that the trinity doesn't have a battery. So I'm going to assume it's just because it isn't currently hooked up to my car as to why it is saying this. Can anyone verify this information, so I can make sure i'm correct? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is displaying that message because it isn't seeing any voltage from the vehicle from the OBD2 Plug.
