custom tune install

I attempted to load a custom tune today and it seemed that it was about complete. I was going through the key cycles fine when the circle was spinning for awhile and then it stated "Application CRC Error". I could not get out of this screen so I removed the intune DCX from the computer port. I reconnect the intune dcx and it said it was in recovery mode and asked to install last back up (not the exact words), I clicked yes. The intune stated installed successfully after cycling through stage 1 and stage 2. Have I returned the truck back to stock tune? The 87 octane canned tune was originally installed before I attempted to install the custom tune. Am I now able to try and install a custom tune if I plug the intune dcx back into the trucks computer? Am I risking damaging the PCM with constant flashing?
