Just got it & following directions to update. It won't. Is there supposed to be a disc? Vista pc cannot find driver? What's going on here guys? Bad start.

OK, found diablosport (CD drive)

Found intune (removable disc)

Now what? Trying to update the intune b4 I plug it into the 2004 ls6 vette.

Should I remove my predator tune & put the car back to stock tune 1st?

OK, clicked on intune.exe and the device is updating.

Stay posted.

Driver install is still failing. I think the update is ok.

How do I tell windows where the driver is?
What is the path?
Please be specific. I looked on the Diablo "CD" and don't see anything that is named like a "driver"

the driver lives on the intune, or you can download and install it from the Trinity downloads page (same driver).

What is the NAME of it, what is the path? I looked & don't find it .

Is it the same driver for xp/vista/windows7/windows8?

There are three empty folders

logs
runtime
tunes

and an info.xml document that has administrative type data.

Where is the driver, please BE DETAILED? I don't see it.

yes, you have to restore the original backup stock tune to the car from the predator first, otherwise the intune will not install a tune to your vehicle, because it will detect that there's already a tune on it...

If I find it can I copy it to the intune?

Where would I put it (path) on the intune so that windows driver install process can find it?

I think this worked, my computer says driver successfully installed, I have not used the function yet

The driver is not/ was not on my intune device in spite of claims to the contrary.

I stumbled around, read some old threads, and came up with the following.

This is for a windows vista 64 computer YMMV

Go here http://www.diablosport.com/drivers it's a download part of the website

Click on the active link to download usb to serial driver

This should put it on your pc desktop or your downloads folder - mine ended up on the desktop.

Plug in intune and go to your computer & open up the intune (it shows as a CD)

Drag the downloaded file to the intune cd

Disconnect the intune and then reconnect, windows should try to recognize the device & try to install the driver.

When the windows installer program tells you to insert the cd it's already "inserted" so click next.

Windows will find the driver on the intune "cd" and proceed with installing it.

Sorry Mike, the driver was NOT installed on my intune. Maybe a quality control check of some stock would show this up. Stuff happens.

call with it plugged into your pc, and we'll remote into your PC and show you how to load the driver from the tool if you would like.

Thanks, but no point to it. It DID load from the tool after I PUT IT ON THE TOOL. I downloaded the driver to my desktop, copied it to the tool, then started the whole process "as normal" and it worked.

The problem was the driver was never on MY tool until I put it there.

Maybe when the CD (intune) was burned, at some point in manufacturing, the driver file was left off a few (just guessing on this).

Just trying to help if any other customer ends up having one with a missing driver file. In my previous life (MANY years ago) I was a programmer & then a systems analyst.

I do appreciate your offer & attention on this.
