Changing spark plugs for 93 octane

Post by Bbmf »

Does anyone know if I need to change my spark plugs in my 2013 f-150 ecoboost in order to run 93 octane?

Why would you? Most of the country gets 93 out of the pump. Nobody changes their spark plugs before using it.

The 11-12 F150 EcoBoost used not so great plugs, they upgraded them in 13, and they work well when tuned, but 11-12 models need an upgrade to make any real power over stock ;)

That was stupid of Ford. They push the EcoBoost as a V8 alternative and charge extra for it, and then use inferior parts on it? Typical. No wonder I haven't been back since my Mustang 18 years ago.

Kinda. But no A/C is a deal breaker. Needing the jaws of life to get my fat ass out of the thing is another one.

Sad part is, I won't even need the tree to need to Jaws of Life. When you take a low slung sports car, and a big dude with a bad back and knees, nothing good can come of it. To get out of the R8, I had to roll out onto the floor and then stand up. I just couldn't get out of the car normally.

We were close to needing the jaws of life to get you out of the Vette. :P
