I own two charger SRT8's, one is the old lady's and the other is mine. I am being told that I would need to purchase 2 units? This is rediculous if that is truly the case. What gives?

As was mentioned in the other thread, this is what we do, and our means of income, selling Predators.
We (and every other tuning company) would have gone under in a month if you could just keep tuning cars with one tool.
Think of it like any other performance part, you buy headers, they are only used on one car at a time.

Ever thought of making it so you can unlock it via software by way of a password or something so you can accomodate those certain individuals that have more that one car? I can understand your "headers" point but lets face it, this unit does not get bolted to the car.

I am not sure if it is as much as a software issue but a hardware issue. There is only so much space on the Predator for storing backups of the PCM's stock programming. I am sure this could be fixed with a redeisign of the Predator, but then you would need to buy a new one anyway.

but is impossible to buy this predator used on web site like ebay....! Before buy this programmer here I have seen many offerts on web for used or new , but they are no good?

Thats the problem. If you buy used, you have no way of knowing if it will work until you get it...then it may be too late.

Worked for me, but to be honest, I don't think it was actually ever used. But, I've bought two handhelds used so far.

Just make sure the seller agrees to warrant the device if it doen't work.

It would be nice if the handheld could be good for two cars. I believe some of the other laptop programs are good for two right? No offence but if I could afford 2 SRT8 anythings I beleave 2 programmers wouldn't be a problem

HPTuners can be used on multiple vehicles. Its credit based, and you can buy credits to use it on more then one car.
