Hello, I'm in the process of purchasing a second hand t1000, I know it's been talked about plenty of times and I have read some of the posts. The seller sent me pictures of the device and it pops up a screen that says "trinity not married yet, nothing to show" (pic attached) I just sent another message asking if the VIN was still there or not. If the vin is still there will I have to call in and have a forced unlock done on it for a fee, or will I be fine after I plug it into my car as long as it isn't showing married? Thanks in advance.

By the way, I'm new to all of this and this will be my first time ever tuning a car.

unfortunately with trinity it can be more involved, what happens if they go to options/troubleshooting, and select the blank line at the bottom?

What should I be looking for? I will ask the seller.

So let me ask this, plan for the worst case scenario... It is still preloaded with a tune and a VIN.. I have to call and pay a fee for a password?

I'm hoping the seller isn't getting back to me because of work, but if I don't receive any word in the next day or so, I will open a paypal dispute... I'm hoping it doesn't lead to this.... I'm just trying to plan ahead.

yes, it would cost you $179 to get the trinity unlocked/reset...

if it truly shows a password when you select the blank line, its unlocked.
