2012 Ram r/t 93 octane custom tune complete

Post by Ramrt1 »

Well guys after countless hours, phone calls, and emails my 93 octane custom tune is installed. I would like to take this time to thank Sean for his patience, and knowledge when it comes to tuning our trucks. My truck runs great, aggressive, with a lot better throttle response. The shifts are firmer, shift points are on point. I sent him a data log of the parameters he asked for after the tune was installed. I look forward to working with Hemifever again in the near future.
The tune was customized for my Vararam intake, 87mm throttle body, 180 stat, BBK shorty headers, 4.10 gears, and Borla exhaust. Great job Sean, thanks. :drivingbad:

Well did a couple times today using the trinity with the 93 octane custom tune installed, I am still a little disappointed as I spent all the money for the trinity and a custom tune and still can't break into the 13s. I ran a [email protected] and [email protected] with the trinity canned tune, I ran a [email protected] and [email protected] with the custom tune installed in 32 degree weather. I was able to run a best [email protected] with the Bully dog in 35 degree weather, [email protected], and [email protected] in 55 degree weather. I have seen a lot of guys compare their times slips at the track with the Bully dog hemi plus and was only 1-2 tenths off, so it's pretty accurate. The Ram R/T runs [email protected] stock, from the factory, so any times higher than that will always be a disappointment concidering all the bolt on parts I have installed. I am tempted to just go back with my Bully dog, it seems I will have to continue spending money just to get where I was with the Hemi plus, crazy :punisher:

You really cant just compare times from the internet like that.

your truck stock runs what your truck runs stock, and you don't know that until it goes down a dragstrip ;)

I understand what your saying Mike, so your telling me that the trinity times are not accurate when measuring 0-60 and 1/4 mile times? Heck I use to churp the tires in second gear with the Bully dog, but even after the custom tune with increased throttle response , increased shift points and rev limiter, as well as adjust torque management and there is no churp, doesn't even feel like the line preasure was increased. When Im told that my times are high by an installer, that he has stock R/Ts with the same package and gears running in the mid to high 12s that's what I expect. The 13.4 time was at the track in Baton Rouge so I know where the bench mark was when purchasing the Trinity. He told me I needed to install more parts to go faster after telling me the times stock truck had run with his tune, am I wrong for being upset?

I recently added a magnaflow true x-pipe muffler, the engine loves it with the custom tune installed, the extra flow and breathing really woke it up compared to the single in/ dual out system. My sonnaxx line pressure booster will be in tomorrow.
