Why Update ?

What does the update do to my Intune. What does it do to the selected tune installed in my car. It auto updated yesterday. Now what. ?
Thank you. The Intune is great. Just trying to understand the update.

updates are generally to add support for new/additional vehicles.. no tune changes for current vehicles already supported...

Thanks for the info and promt response. I won't update my Intune in the future. I've seen posts of problems with bad Internet or connections then the Intune has error. I love my 91 tune with all the goodies. I will stick with what is installed.
