SRT-4 Tuning questions

Post by tanner7190 »

I just bought a 2004 SRT-4 with 46k miles, I currently have a K&N CAI (came with the car not my choice  ) 3" TBE, and Mopar BOV (plate), and a UEGO, I recently downloaded the 93 tune from a used Predator (everything worked fine) but I just realized that it was version 9r20 and I know that the newest is 9r22. Well after the install it felt like it did not have any affect on my car and from all the reviews it is a tune that has a noticeable difference.

Its just my weekend driver as Im away from home most of the time for work so I never get to have a lot of time to work on it. I was hoping that maybe I just needed to update the version and/or check the parameters and make a few tweaks. My AFR's at WOT are between 11.9-12.3, I know I would like to add a little more fuel to bring them down a few tenths, but my main question is a few steps about datalogging. How to do it, as in do I need to have the DSP plugged in while I make WOT pulls? Would this be done under the 'Watch & Record' part of the DSP? I know I'll check for ST KNK and LT KNK (I think I have a general idea of adjusting timing by half of what the knock until you get to 0) and possibly adjust spark (god help me with this one).

Like I said I just got the DSP used from another SRT owner with no instructions. I have downloaded the manual and everything but can't for the life of me find out the correct steps of how to datalog them with doing pulls and what not. I am very new to the tuning aspect of a car and Im sure questions come like this from "newbs" such as myself all the time. But like I said I am always on the run, which is why any info that would kill some searching time about this would help me greatly and be much appreciated.
