Unusual Spark values - Charger 2014 SE - No Mods

Post by Intraframe »

Been running the Diablo Tune (93 oct) for a couple of days now, and I honestly can't really say that I feel a significant difference.
Im probably picking up something small in the low to mid RPM's, but once again, nothing major.

Anyway, so I decided to run some data logging under different driving circumstances, and what later caught my interest when viewing the log in Dataviewer is the major difference between Base Spark and Actual Spark (Cyl 1) values.
The Actual Spark values may peak as high as 57 degrees and as low as -8. The Base may reach as high as 57.5 with a low of 12.
Higher values are present when running around 2K RPMs and above, and decreases when easing of the throttle.

So to sum up the question - Are these Timing values "OK" for a Dodge Charger 2014 SE (Pentastar V6 VVT 3.6L) that has NO mods made to neither itself nor the installed Tune.
Or do they seem abnormal?
If abnormal, I'm seriously starting to question the reliability of the pre-made Tunes that comes with the Intune, as Diablosport guarantees "safe" driving parameters in their built-in tunes if not adjusting them yourself.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, thats entirely normal, timing changes quite a bit depending on demands.
