TCM Tuning does not work on GMC Canyon

I purchased an inTune to use on my GMC Canyon SLT 3.7l I5. The ECM tuning seems to work fine, but the TCM tuning does not work at all. I tried the hard shift and the firm shift tunes and noticed no difference. I also tried the adjusting the shift firmness parameter on the hard, firm, and stock tune all the way to maximum firmness and felt no difference. I was at the track the other day and tried adjusting my shift points down to 5000 and the transmission was still shifting at 6100 each time. Just to be sure I set the shift points for all gears down to 3000 and the transmission still shifts at 6100. I tried this for both tunes.
I updated my programmer with the latest updates and tried the whole process again and the TCM tuning still does not work at all. The programmer was advertised as having this ability for my vehicle.

Does anyone have any suggestions other then getting a different programmer?

this post is a few years old, I dont recall this being an issue at all honestly.
