PCM Calibration ID recognition probleme

HI I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T 5.7 I have been mofifying my car every year abut since i got in 2009, im 2013 I installed a Edelbrock E3 Eforce 1532 ( 5 psi). Edelbrock provided a Predator ( EDL7135) for the super charger.

I got my Orignal Backup PCM_05187912AH. And it actually has this tune providad by Diablo last year : edl7135-9r05.crom since 2014-06-13

Since Edelbrock did not provided an update fro the tool last year, Diabliosport provided that one to me..

So I updaded the tool and my car last year, the tool is now with V.9r05,

This year Arrignton provided me with a tune fro the super charger ( a .drg file).

I send it to the tool, it ask fro tghe originl backup, I selected it ....and that was that, simple straight froward and all

When it came to update the car, I got the PCM message saying that the tool does not recognise the Calibration ID !

The car is now setup with edl7135-9r05.crom since last year ?

Is there a thing I can do so this match again ?

it sounds like the tune was not made from a copy of your backup, send that to the tuner and have them redo the file from the backup.

I did question this..and this was the whole process

Took my originale backup the first time I use the Predator in 2010 : PCM_05187912AH.drg
Then i did numerous updates ( including the SC ) .
The last update was last year with a crom file from Diablo Sport : edl7135-9r05.crom.
Tise I sent to Arrington so theuy can make the tune

I receive pcm_05187912ah_API_SC_r1.drg from them.


Them I look at my process :

1. I hooked the tool to the PC
2. Start the Downloader
3. Use the 'Get Tune' from the downloader
4. Selected the tune you send me : pcm_05187912ah_API_SC_r1.drg
5.Then I was asked for the original backup, so i went and selected : PCM_05187912AH.drg
6, The tool updated.
7. I went to the car: PCM Calibration ID problems.

As far i a see, I am oblivious to the what is happening....

In the troubleshooting menu, i can get to the PCM Calibration ID, and I did not force it.

Is there a step I am missing ?

I noticed in the process I did NOT bring the car back to the original backup before I updated the tool with the pcm_05187912ah_API_SC_r1.drg
tune.
Could that be it ?

so you are using a backup from a long time ago, or a different tool?

if so, export a new backup, and have them make the tune from that file.

I always use the same original backup from that tool. They did make a tune from that file.

As I ask before, would the fact that I update the tool before I got the PCM in the car back to the original backup cause that ?

yes, thats why i am suggesting that you export a fresh copy of the backup.

A couple of questions :

1. I will export an original Backup from the tool.
Now that I importe the Arrington PCM with the original backup I have already listed. WONT this version be married/merge with the new PCM

2. If I manage to have this done, I still will have to revrt my car to the orginal backup. How will I proceed to get my car back to that Level ?

I think you are over thinking this.

Just use dsdl to export a new backup, send that to them, let them make a new tune, and load it.

no updates, no restoring, none of that should be needed.

I did what you asked.

I extracted a fresh Original VBackup from the EDl7135 Tool.
Arrington has created à new .drg file from it.

Last evening i uploaed the new Arrington file to the tool

1. hooked the tool to the PC
2. Start the Downloader
3. Use the 'Get Tune' from the downloader
4. Selected the new tune you send me:pcm_05187912ah_API_SC_r2.drg
5.. Then I was asked for the original backup, so i went and selected the newly extracted : PCM_05187912AH.drg
6, The tool updated.
7. I went to the car: PCM Calibration ID problems.

As far i a see, we still have the saem problem.

Any idea what to do next ?

Here are the tune and Backup.


I sent you 2 Arrington Tunes ( the first one that did not work and the redone on )

Also the originale Bakup that was freahly estrcated from the tool


In addition the last succesfully installed crom in the tool and apply to the car.
